Challenges in what steps to develop the platform
The Vendorsense platform is developed using J2EE and related open source frameworks. The most challenge part is designing the architecture of the platform to make it scalable, extensible, and in good modularity.

Vendorsense has been implemented within four layers. The bottom layer is database, and we choose MySQL, the most popular open source database.
The second layer is persistence layer, and we choose Hibernate as the Object-Relational mapping framework. The third layer is the business layer, and we choose Spring to manage all the services for business logic.
The top layer presentation layer, and this is the second most challenge part.
Our  selected framework that provides many UI elements and with ajax support is a plus.  Finally we have selected a ZK framework this will allow good potential for an enhanced user experience by harnessing the power of CSS3
